1 package Hurst Hambeens 15 bean soup
1 package Andouille Smoked Sausage - halved longwise and sliced.
1 medium onion - chopped
1 package frozen cut okra
1 medium bell pepper - chopped
1 can stewed tomatoes
2 tbsp lemon juice
1.5 cups white rice- cooked
3 bay leaves
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tsp liquid smoke
32 oz of beef stock
Salt to taste
Combine all ingredients except rice in a 3 or 4 qt crock pot. Add beef stock, and top off with the crock pot with water. Cook until the beans are soft. Add cooked rice and serve.
(You can add more spices if you prefer a stronger flavor.)
