Pop's 3 Minute Fudge

The Pop has a bit of a sweet tooth, and so The Human Scribe has been making him a quick, simple fudge to snack on. No candy thermometer required!

3 cups baking chips (you can use semisweet, milk, white, peanut butter, butterscotch, cinnamon... or any combination there of)
14 oz sweetened condensed milk
1 cup chopped nuts of your choice (chopped mints, caramel or toffee are also good...)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp rum or rum extract
Pinch of salt

Butter the bottom and sides of an 8x8 baking pan.
Combine all ingredients except the nuts (or candy) in a medium to large saucepan.
Over medium heat, while stirring constantly melt the chocolate (or other chips) into the sweetened condensed milk until smooth. Remove from the heat. Add the nuts or candy and stir in well. Pour into the baking dish and spread out (it will be very thick). Chill until solid.
